I get this question a lot. With my Economics degree from UCLA, I know enough to know that I don’t know enough to answer that question with any confidence.

Sure, everyone’s got an opinion and is willing to share it. I hear things like:

- beach property will never go down
- buy at the edge of a city’s expansion
- cheap condos will always be in demand
- Imperial Beach &/or Oceanside are the sleeper areas
- buy single family houses as they’re preferred over condos
- downtown is the place to invest
- buy in a good, safe neighborhood
